Piedmont Area Weather
The Greater Piedmont Area enjoys four distinct seasons with a relatively mild
climate.
Spring brings a beautiful palette of color with the blooming of many native
trees including the Dogwood and the Redbud. The drive down Route 211
between Warrenton and Amissville is beautiful in the April/May with the white of
the Dogwoods and the purple of the Redbuds in full bloom.
Summer temperatures average in the mid 80s to 90s, but with humidity.
The varying shades of red and yellow of Fall bring many tourists to Skyline
Drive and the Shenandoah National Forest.
Winters vary with temperatures averaging in the 30s at night and 40-50 during
the day. Snowfall averages between 6-10 inches, unless we get a storm from
the south!
